Every year, tourists swarm India, and the sole reason for that is its endless beauty and diverse tradition, people, and culture. There are many ways and tour packages to travel to India for enjoyable and memorable experiences. However, the Golden Triangle Tour connecting Jaipur, Delhi, and Agra has been the most popular. So that’s that. In this blog, I will share my Golden Triangle experience in India. Here’s my guide to the seven-day experience of India.
An overview of the golden triangle trip
If you look at the map of India, the Delhi Jaipur Agra Tour forms a triangle. Hence it gets its name. Each of these cities is approximately 200 km from the other, making a smoother trip. But why is only this one a golden Indian tour? You will know soon enough.
The golden triangle experience
The tour starts in Delhi and ends in Delhi, from where you can return home or explore India like me. I traveled this circuit by car, which is also the best way as you get the freedom to explore.
- I wouldn’t recommend self-driving in India if you have never driven there. Otherwise, be my guest.
The ultimate itinerary
The memories of my experience haven’t faded yet, and I will try my best to make these memories come alive for you.
Day 1-3: Delhi
My Journey began as I set foot in New Delhi. As soon as I started going to my hotel, I was awestruck by the beauty along the way. The beautiful capital city of India has so much to offer, which takes you back to ancient times. So let’s start with where to visit in New Delhi.
- The Red Fort (takes you back to the time of Mughal emperors).
- The Jama Masjid (you forget all your worries and relish religious harmony).
- Qutub Minar (It’s so tall, you can’t look at its top floor without losing balance).
- Humayun’s Tomb (A Mughal tomb that speaks pride from every inch).
I didn’t forget, though, here’s what you should feast on in Delhi.
- Kebab (You can’t get enough of this royal snack).
- Pani Puri (There’s a reason locals call it the anytime, anywhere Chaat).
- Chole Bhature (This one will have you licking your fingers).
- Rolls (Bite the Indian style Burritos).

Day 4-6: Jaipur
The next city was the one I visited a few times but still couldn’t get enough of it. Jaipur, the Pink City of Rajasthan, will give you an authentic Rajasthani experience. So don’t forget to visit these places.
- The Amer Fort (the Royal fort, where you will feel like a Rajput warrior).
- The City Palace (There’s so much to explore here that I can’t describe in words).
- Jantar Mantar (Some of this ancient observatory’s instruments still work).
- Hawa Mahal (the place feels like magic).
- Jal Mahal (I still wonder how some of it gets submerged underwater and still stands tall).
Delicacies to eat in Jaipur: You can try various delicacies from all over India here. But for Authentic taste, I recommend trying your hands at the classic Rajasthani Dal Baati Choorma. Trust me, you will always ask for more, even if you are full.

Day 7-8: Agra
The final destination is Agra, which is known for the Taj Mahal. But my perspective says differently. Agra is an Indian city where history comes alive. Here are the top places I experienced in the town.
- Taj Mahal (Symbol of love).
- The Agra Fort (A city within the city).
- Itimad-Ud-Daulah (two words, magnificent mausoleum).
Delicacies to try in Agra: Food here is all about sweets and snacks. While the Agra Ka Petha is a mouth-watering delicacy, the paratha is also equally famous.
