Places to visit in Amritsar

Golden temple One of the most visited tourist attraction in the city of Amritsar is Golden temple which is located in the heart of the city. Durgiana mandir This is the enchanting temple of Amritsar easily reachable from Golden temple dedicated to goddess Durga. The temple comprises of massive structure and it is very beautifully styled.

Baba Atal Rai tower This is the place that is located few kilomers from the city and it is the place which is spotted where Guru Har Gobind died. It is a nine storied building. From the top you can get beautiful view of the area. On the first floor of the building miniatures relevant to the life as well as teaching of Guru Nanak Dev are placed.

Jallanwala Bagh This is one of the historical monuments and it reminds of the sad history story where in mass killing took place at the time of India’s freedom struggle which is also worth visiting attraction. This place is well known for Martyrs and its gallery is open from 10 am to 4pm at the time of winters and during summers it is open from 9am to 5pm.

Wagah Border Around twenty eight kilometers from Amritsar is Indo-Pakistan border. There are many tourists attracted to this place to see the guards, flag hosting as well as border security forces. This is something you should not miss.
