Good news everyone, last Saturday, the union minister of culture and tourism of India, Mr. G Kishan Reddy, announced that all Indian tourist spots will reopen by next year, i.e., January 2022. Here’s the take on the news.
With the expectation that all citizens will receive vaccination by December 2021, tourism can reopen next year, inviting foreigners and locals. After holding meetings with various concerned parties, he came to this conclusion, such as hotels, tour agencies, and guides.
Mr. Reddy told the media after his Jana Ashirwad Rally reached Bhongir town that he understood the requirement to improve the tourism industry since India has popular tourist places. However, he also added that foreign travelers couldn’t travel to India due to the pandemic. So now, he has drawn plans to ensure that every family visits at least 15 tourist spots in the nation.
Reddy sir also challenged to restore tourism in the country because the prime minister has complete trust in him and has allocated the ministry of culture, tourism, and DONER in his skillful hands.
Since in India people celebrate numerous festivals in every state, the ministry will identify the traditional festivals of the states and ensure that people can commemorate those festivals with total energy and zeal again. That’s their action plan.
India has 40 UNESCO-certified tourist destinations; he and his team are making generous efforts to improve the facilities at these places. The ministry will also take the required steps to protect as many as 3700 ancient monuments that India has so that future generations can learn more about them. It will also promote and improve tourism in India as tourists love to see ancient monuments.
Other plans for the welfare of Indian tourism include developing the states to attract more tourists, the budget for which is 67000 Crore, also there will be more and more organic farming for making handicrafts. Mr. Reddy added that an action plan is also there to create marketing strategies to sell these handicrafts and promote India’s culture, heritage, and tradition to the world.
