Sri Lankan Gates Of Tourism Open Now For Indian Vaccinated Tourists
Sri Lankans have opened their borders to Indians after a long assumed break. As a result, pilots can now operate regular flights between 9 Indian cities and Lanka.
Before entering Sri Lanka, fully vaccinated Indian tourists must present their negative PCR test report issued within 72 hours of arrival and go through a PCR test at a certified Sri Lankan hotel. It is only for the safety of both Indians and Sri Lankans and is in no way to give you any trouble, so please cooperate. After the test, you can enjoy your stay in the island country.
Non-vaccinated Children under 18 years can travel with their parents on the same flight, but they will have to give a second PCR test if they have stayed for ten days in the country, under the new guidelines.
The Chairwoman of Sri Lanka Tourism, Kimarli Fernando, stated that the country looks forward to welcoming back its closest neighbors once again so that Indians may experience the variety that Sri Lanka has to present. Our sources say that Sri Lankan flights will operate four weekly flights to Chennai, 3 to Mumbai, and 1 to Bangalore under its new schedule. As a result, it is awaited to show significant frequency improvements.
We also have information that under the airlines will be resuming services between Colombo and 4 Indian towns, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Trivandrum, and Cochin, with 1 flight in a week as for Hyderabad and New Delhi. These cities will be linked via two flights in a week to Colombo.
As per the reports, the Sri Lanka airlines’ operations out of Chennai and Mumbai will extend up to 5 times a week while its Bangalore-Colombo services will be improved to flights three times a week. Sri Lanka airlines have also initiated a buy one get one free campaign to persuade more travelers to fly to the nation.
