Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary
Located in Thekkady city, Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is in the Idukki and Pathanamthitta regions of Kerala. The Periyar Lake was created as a water reserve is the hub of the sanctuary.

Mangalavanam Bird Sanctuary is an ecologically essential zone in the center of the town of Kochi. The sanctuary has a mangrove jungle that provides a home to various local and migratory birds.
