Places to visit in Haridwar
Haridwar – This place is easily connected by the different cities and thus traveling here is never going to be a problem when you plan your tour correctly. Har – Ki- Pauri at the main ghat is supposed to be at a very precise spot where in the river Ganges leaves the mountains and then enters the plains. Evevry evening here is the Ganga Arti which is performed. Apart from this a few other places that you can take a look at when you are here are the Bara Bazar, Mansa Devi Temple, Chandi Ghat Temple, Gorknath Temple which was dedicated to Guru Goraknath, Saptrishi Ashram which was named after the seven sages who prayed here.
Rishikesh – The Ram Jhula and the Laxman Jhula are two major attractions here. Both of these are besides each other and are one of the most famous and liked attractions here. Ram’s brother laxman was said to cross the river on the jute rope and thus it is in his memory that this Laxman Jhula was built in the year of 1929. apart from these a few other places which make rishikesh a worth visiting place are the Raghunath Mandir and Triveni Ghat, Gita Bhavan, Bharat Mandir, and a few ashrams too.
